DISCOVER Belize
Belize is a small country in Central America which boasts some of the best fishing and diving in the world. Belize’s incredible fishing is largely attributed to  the world’s second-largest barrier reef – the Meso American Barrier Reef. Beyond the reef, Belize is home to tropical rainforests and jungles that host rare animals and a rich mayan heritage visible in ancient ruins and temples.
Belizeans are known for their friendly and welcoming demeanor. While English is the official language, you’ll often hear locals conversing in Creole, a distinct dialect that (almost) sounds like English.Â
The Reef
Belize is home to the Belize Barrier Reef, spanning approximately 190 miles along its coastline. The reef is a hotspot for fishing, snorkeling, and diving. Anglers worldwide are drawn to its rich marine life, making Belize a premier destination for both fishing and diving enthusiasts.
The Belize Barrier Reef is home to diverse prey and predatory species. Here, you’ll encounter colorful parrotfish, grouper, and snapper, along with barracuda and sharks as top predators. The reef also harbors the elusive spotted eagle rays, graceful sea turtles, and schools of jacks and tarpon that thrill anglers and divers alike. Among the coral structures, brain coral, elkhorn coral, and vibrant sea fans create stunning underwater landscapes.
